In China?s attempt to dodge responsibility and facilitate misinformation, along with refusing to allow the international community to investigate the onset of COVID-19, they?ve drawn the attention of several US Senators. Among them, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R – SC) is leading the charge in demanding the Chinese Communist Party comes forward with the truth.
If we as a society refuse to own the truth and fail to learn from history, there is no end to the number of deadly viruses that could continue to threaten our way of life. Taking preventative measures begins with having the facts, and China?s refusal to allow other Nations to make solid conclusions through a thorough investigation puts that objective further out of reach.
Democrat elitists have bought the Chinese Communist Party?s baseless rhetoric – another reason Senator Graham and others in Congress believe it is imperative we set the record straight. Anti-Trump politicians and bureaucrats would rather turn a blind eye to the Chinese Community Party, known for massive human rights atrocities, than admit that President Trump was right in accusing China of attempting to cover up both the origin and severity of the novel Coronavirus.
Last month, Democrat Senator Christopher Murphy of Connecticut said: “The reason that we’re in the crisis that we are today is not because of anything that China did,” and former Secretary of State John Kerry urged Washington to “work with China” saying Trump is “all over the place” concerning his response to the pandemic. But Senator Graham believes, “We can’t let the Democratic Party give China a pass.”
Senator Graham, in an interview with FOX news yesterday, committed to fighting to hold China accountable. He believes this will only be possible through setting sanctions on China until they allow investigators to do their job on behalf of the international community and shut down the ?wet markets? that continue to operate in Hubei province, where COVID-19 first took off. According to the Senator, these sanctions could include eliminating debt, allowing individual Americans to suit China for their losses, or place ?pandemic tariffs? on products imported from China.
Senator Graham isn?t alone in his effort to force the truth out of China. U.S. Senators Josh Hawley and Tom Cotton, along with U.S. Representative Elise Stefanik have all stated their intention to hold China Accountable.
While Democrats in Washington are cozying up to the Chinese Communist Party, a deep-state that dodges accountability, scoffs at transparency and is known for human rights violations, it is good to know that there are still elected leaders in America that seek Truth and put their constituents over their careers.
