Senator Graham Standing Behind President Trump As Senate Prepares for Impeachment Trials

After sitting on the articles of impeachment for weeks, Speaker Nancy Pelosi has decided to finally follow the laws and rules of the Constitution. Despite all the urgency Democrats put behind needing to impeach President Trump as fast as possible, it took Republican pressure for Pelosi to finally budge and send the articles of impeachment to the Senate.

As chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Lindsey Graham will have a big role in how the trial will play out. A staunch defender of the President, Senator Graham will ensure a much more fair trial in the Senate compared to the House.

Working with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Graham doesn?t intend to let Democrats have impeachment sideshow they want in the Senate. Democrats want all kinds of different witnesses to testify, but there is one major problem: the impeachment allegations are illegitimate.

Not one single Republican voted for obstruction of Congress or obstruction of justice by President Trump. The entire witch hunt was not only rushed, but completely partisan. There is no chance the Senate votes to remove President Trump from office. It would require a ? vote, and 53 Republican members are well versed on the motives behind the impeachment witch hunt. By putting his foot down, Senator Lindsey Graham is not going to let Pelosi?s shampeachment trial go on.
